The report generation feature lets you analyse the prices of specific hotels and examine their competitive pricing. Reports can be produced for a single hotel or for a group of hotels, in as much detail as the comparison requires.
What you can define
- The hotels you want to track, listed individually or as a group
- The date range the comparison should cover
- The number of guests the rates should be compared for
- The output format — reports download as PDF or Excel
How to use it
- Open the report generation section.
- List the hotels you want to monitor.
- Set the date range and the number of guests.
- Generate the competition report and download it as PDF or Excel.
Why date range and occupancy change the answer
A hotel rate is not a single number the way a retail price is: it varies by arrival date, length of stay and how many people the room is priced for. Two properties can look equally priced for a two-person midweek stay and diverge sharply for a family booking at the weekend, because the occupancy rules and yield curves behind them differ. Fixing the date range and guest count is what makes a comparison meaningful — without them, a rate difference may be describing two different products.
